Every year, on 15 August, the feast in honour of Our Lady of the Assumption is celebrated at the chapel of Santa Maria a Quadrano with solemn masses. At the same time, the traditional 'Devotion of the Peppers' takes place, a centuries-old food and wine event in which green peppers (friarielli) are the protagonists, accompanied by moments of conviviality and popular celebration. This festival attracts believers and visitors from all over the area and is one of the most heartfelt events of the Gildonese summer.
