Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie

The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the bell tower, both in the Romanesque style, are one of the highlights of Jelsa's artistic heritage. Internally, the church is illuminated by the dome that enhances the frescoed presbytery and the shrine housing the 17th-century statue of the Virgin. Of artistic value is the antependium depicting the Last Supper in high relief. The entire complex, built at three different times, was created with the purpose of welcoming abandoned children.
