On 4 November, Toro celebrates National Unity and Armed Forces Day, a moment of remembrance and gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for their country.
The ceremony opens with the parade of civil, military and religious authorities through the streets of the town, followed by Holy Mass with the reading of prayers by the various police forces present. The most solemn moment is the laying of the laurel wreath at the war memorial, in honour of all war victims.
An event that unites the community in a feeling of remembrance, respect and unity, reaffirming the founding values of the nation.
